Danwood Drives Business Forward In Aberdeen

6th December 2007– Aberdeen, Scotland - Having settled into its new state-of-the-art premises at 2 Fountainhall Road, Danwood Scotland, the UK’s largest independent supplier of world-class print and document management technology has been on a recruitment drive.

Now based in the heart of the Granite City’s business community, George Lawson who has taken over the day-to-day running of commercial operations in Aberdeen has recruited four new staff to support its growing customer base in the North East.

Charlene Kane, Mike Dickson, Colleen Stuart and Peter Chambers join Danwood’s 14-strong Aberdeen team as account executives. However, Danwood is still looking to fill the positions of four sales executives, taking its staff numbers to over 20 by the end of 2007.

Managing Director of Danwood Scotland, Gary Elms, said: “With unemployment at an all time low in the area it has been a struggle to recruit skilled, quality personnel. However, we are fortunate to be part of a £100 million business where we can afford to invest in our people, ensuring the best possible working environment and career prospects.”

He continued: “Danwood is committed to providing an excellent service, putting our customers at the heart of what we do. To illustrate, we recently conducted a customer survey in and around Aberdeen and Dundee, and established a 97.6% satisfaction rating with over 150 customers inviting us back in to talk to them. The reason being, we work hard to understand their business and establish the right solutions for their needs so that as a business changes and new technologies come on-line, we can help relocate Danwood-supplied equipment and advise on upgrades from all the major manufacturers.”

To celebrate its move to Fountainhall Road, Danwood is planning a pre-Christmas party on Friday 14th December for its new neighbours and valued customers.

Gary Elms, stated: “Having taken over the business and assets of Grampian Business products back in 2006, we found their former offices at Virginia Street just didn’t meet our Scottish growth projections of £20 million by 2010. To develop our business and our people we needed space to provide full range of sales, administration and technical support services as well as a customer showroom in which to demonstrate all the latest technologies and a local servicing facility. We’d like to show them off so come along and meet the new, improved team at Danwood Scotland.”
