27th January 2008 - Livingston, Scotland - Ahead of the launch of the National Business Awards for Scotland 2008 on Friday 1st February, Danwood Scotland has agreed to continue its sponsorship of the Growth Strategy of the Year category.
Gary Elms, Managing Director of Danwood Scotland, commented: "We are pleased to support the Awards and to encourage and celebrate the success of high growth businesses in Scotland. Last year we saw a great number of high calibre entrants and we are hoping that despite fears of an economic slowdown Scottish businesses will continue to demonstrate their resilience in a bear market, and go for growth."
John Allan, Head of Development at the National Business Awards for Scotland 2008 said: "It is essential in the current tough economic climate that companies identify the 2008 challenges that face them, provide innovative solutions, and utilise these solutions in their quest for continuous growth. The entry process for The National Business Awards for Scotland provides the opportunity to start the process of self assessment and business challenge review."
The National Business Awards for Scotland provide those organisations that wish to take part with an excellent opportunity to examine and improve their overall market performance across a range of categories.
The judges of the Growth Strategy of the Year category will look for an organisation that can best demonstrate an organic growth strategy that has achieved outstanding levels of sales, profit and market share improvement. Previous winners include Bigmouthmedia, Kenmore Properties and last year, Petrotechnics.
This category is open to public and private sector organisations and registration forms can be downloaded at www.businessawardsforscotland.com.
