Danwood Scotland Merges With Norcom In Highland Expansion

July, Inverness - Danwood Scotland has merged with the photocopier sales and service divisions of Norcom.

The deal sees Danwood continue its Scottish growth strategy by joining forces with Norcom to become Danwood Highland the largest supplier of integrated office solutions in the north of Scotland, offering the latest high technology products and servicing at the centre of its customer proposition.

Danwood Scotland already has strategic sales centres in Glasgow, Livingston and Aberdeen, and its Highland operation will be based a Norcom’s current premises at Harbour Road, Inverness.

Chris Barnett, formerly managing director of Norcom and now managing director of Danwood Highland commented: “The business has grown substantially in recent years and has an enviable customer base with some 1,600 installed machines across the north of Scotland. Through our partnership with Danwood we will have the infrastructure in place to offer an additional range of products and services at even more competitive prices to benefit our customers. Although it will be very much ‘business as usual’, we do expect to have to boost our staffing levels to keep up with the continued expansion of the business.”

Managing Director of Danwood Scotland, Gary Elms, said: “A key presence in the north of Scotland, to give us true national coverage, has been at the forefront of Danwood’s expansion plans in Scotland and we are pleased to have formed a strategic partnership with Norcom to form Danwood Highland, a company which shares a clear business philosophy with service and choice at its centre.”
