1st March 2008 - Danwood is delighted to announce that it has won a place on OGCbuying.solutions’ new multifunctional products framework agreement. Danwood was an accredited supplier on the original framework agreement and this announcement means it will continue to be an accredited supplier of MFP Managed Print solutions to the UK public sector. Danwood will maintain its campaign to reduce the cost of print/copy/fax/scan output to all public sector organisations, which already include HM Treasury, Councils, NHS Trusts, Universities and more.
Chris Brown, Contracts Director of Danwood comments, "We have been successfully delivering cost and performance benefits to customers in the public sector for a decade under the terms of the OGCbuying.solutions agreement and we are first class in our ability to benchmark costs so that our customers really understand their Total Cost of Ownership of their printing facilities. We have invested heavily in consultancy to be able to achieve this and have a team of 17 dedicated Insatsu Chosa® consultants across the UK to support the demand for independent print consultancy. Our achievements are numerous and a great example is the work we have done with Lancashire County Council. Here we have been able to demonstrate potential saving of over 30 per cent on document production costs which equates to significant cash savings. We look forward to helping others to achieve similar results by partnering with their print output strategies."
Danwood will support its public sector customers with strategic central resources as well as a network of some 32 local/regional offices, delivering regional knowledge and approach. Also, as Danwood is a multi-vendor provider it is able to guide its customers to the best solutions to every situation and concentrates its skills on creating balanced deployment strategies, often utilising existing equipment rather than replacing with all new equipment, thus driving output savings rather than promoting tactical hardware implementations. This sustainable procurement drive promotes significant performance enhancements while reducing organisations' impact on the environment.
Paul Reardon, MFP Framework Refresh - Project Manager for OGCbuying.solutions says, "We provide public sector organisations with a proven procurement process that allows them to access products and services that have been assessed and approved for use and that support the Government's sustainability agenda. We are pleased to award, once again, the Framework Agreement to 8 suppliers including Danwood, to deliver its consultancy services and range of office products to Government departments."
OGCbuying.solutions, launched in April 2001, provides public sector procurement professionals with a route to the products and services they need to maximise procurement efficiency and value for money. Its contracts and framework agreements offer substantial savings through significant buying power, economies of scale and strategic partnerships. These savings are counted towards the Efficiency Review target. These products and services are available through OGCbuying.solutions Catalist framework agreements and Managed Services.
